Welcome to Your Journey of Empowerment and Healing
Are you struggling with ADHD, anxiety, or self-esteem issues? Do you feel overwhelmed by the pressures of daily life, school, work, or relationships? Whether you’re a child, teen, or college student, I am here to support you in your journey toward understanding, empowerment, and personal growth.
About Me
I am a licensed therapist whose passion is to work with children, teens and young adults, providing them with the tools and guidance they need to overcome their challenges. I believe that everyone has the potential to thrive, and that therapy can be a powerful catalyst for change. Like you, I’ve walked a similar journey. I experienced childhood anxiety and was diagnosed with ADHD and generalized anxiety disorder (GAD) as an adult. Ultimately, I believe my experience with ADHD and GAD helps me empathize deeply with clients who face their own unique challenges, and I see it as an asset in understanding the human mind with more nuance and compassion.
My Approach
In therapy, I use a holistic approach, tailored to meet each client’s unique needs. Combining process and expressive arts therapy, mindfulness techniques, and cognitive and strength-based therapies, I focus on helping clients build resilience, develop coping skills, and enhance their self-awareness. My goal is to create a safe, non-judgmental space where you feel comfortable exploring your feelings and working toward your goals.
Kids: Building Confidence and Focus
For children, ADHD and anxiety can often manifest in school performance, behavior issues, and social interactions. They may struggle with maintaining attention, following instructions, and making friends. These challenges can lead to frustration and low self-esteem. In my practice, I employ expressive arts therapy, sand tray, mindfulness, and interactive activities to engage children in a way that feels natural and enjoyable. By fostering an environment where they can express themselves freely, I help them build confidence, improve focus, and develop essential social skills. Together, we work on strategies that support their growth both at home and in school, setting a foundation for lifelong learning and self-assurance.
College Students: Balancing Independence and Responsibility
College is an exciting but demanding time, often marked by newfound independence and increased responsibilities. Students with ADHD and anxiety may struggle with time management, academic pressures, and social dynamics. The transition to adulthood can exacerbate self-esteem issues, leading to stress and burnout.
I offer a comprehensive approach that addresses the unique challenges college students face. By integrating mindfulness practices with practical life skills, I guide students in managing their time effectively, reducing anxiety, and boosting self-esteem. Our sessions aim to foster a balanced lifestyle, enabling students to enjoy their college experience while achieving academic success and personal growth.
Teens: Navigating the Complexities of Adolescence
Teenage years can be a rollercoaster of emotions and challenges, particularly for those dealing with ADHD, anxiety, and self-esteem issues. Social pressures, academic expectations, and the quest for identity can feel overwhelming. Teens may experience feelings of isolation, self-doubt, or inadequacy. I provide a supportive space where teens can openly discuss their concerns and explore their identities. Through mindfulness-based self-compassion, CBT and personalized interventions, I help them develop coping mechanisms that empower them to face their challenges head-on. Our work focuses on building resilience, enhancing self-esteem, and equipping them with the skills needed to navigate relationships, academics, and personal growth. The goal is to help them feel accepted, confident, and prepared for the future.
What to Expect
In our sessions, you can expect a compassionate and empathetic environment where your voice is heard, and your needs are prioritized. My approach is collaborative, meaning we will work together to identify your goals and create a personalized plan that suits your unique circumstances. Whether it’s building focus, managing anxiety, or enhancing self-esteem, my commitment is to support you every step of the way.
